Favorite Subject & Why
Alaira’s favorite subject is math because she gets to learn lots of different kinds of things. She likes that it can be tricky. Right now she really enjoys division and also multiplication because it helps her solve the division problems.
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
The $20,000 award would help allow Alaira to attend summer camps that support her interests. Such as Geocaching, Lego robotics, Spanish, Survival 101, Music Camp, etc. This would foster essential STEM skills, creativity, technical knowledge and boost her critical thinking. The summer camp activities also promote problem solving, teamwork, exploration. It will keep her brain active and engaged in learning throughout the summer so she is ready when the school year starts again.
