Why They Love Being a Student

He loves learning new things because he thinks people who don’t understand the world tend to destroy it. That’s what he told me one night before bed, after asking me to teach him physics. He is a very kind kid, who just wants to be good and smart.

If you ask him he will say recess, but I know he loves science. His teacher expressed how he always has a new science fact to share and that even she has learned things from him. He has a bright way of understanding and explaining the scientific concepts he’s familiar with. He also loves coding and is top of his grade in math.

How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals

In this country, education seems to be more and more only for the privileged. I would love for Xander to be able to study wherever he wants and whatever he wants when he grows up, without money being a limiting factor. He studies piano and wants to add Japanese as his third language. Tutoring is expensive. We would love to give him access to whatever knowledge his little heart desires.
