Why They Love Being a Student

Alice has always been hungry for knowledge, and can often be found reading or watching educational videos on her own. She is always excited to explore new ideas in class, and she looks forward to projects that allow her the freedom to do her own research. Like any student, she enjoys spending time with her friends at school each day, but her classwork is equally as important to her. Alice has so much pride in her school, and she loves to root for her team as a member of the cheerleading squad.

Favorite Subject & Why

Since she was little Alice has maintained a love for outer space, and she is constantly learning as much as she can about the solar system. Now as a third grader and aspiring astronomer, STEM is her favorite subject. She is always interested in doing experiments, testing her theories, and designing new structures with her Lego bricks. She loves to apply what she learned in class to her interests at home – exploring with her telescope, creating with clay, and teaching her sisters new things.

How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals

Alice already has big dreams of becoming an astronomer and working for NASA, and we do all we can to encourage and support her goals. This award would allow us to continue to foster her passion for the field and provide new opportunities to expand her education. To be able to visit the Planetary Society, the Air and Space Museum or the Kennedy Space Center would only fuel her drive and determination to make her dreams come true.
