Favorite Subject & Why
Science is Amaya's favorite subject. She has a great desire to understand how things work and she excels in scientific topics. Currently, Forensics is her favorite subject. Amaya was key in encouraging her school to offer the course. She hopes to pursue a career in forensic pathology so this high school Forensic Science course is a great introduction to the subject and will pave the way for future courses.
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
Pursuing a career in Forensic Pathology requires attending medical school. Undergraduate education, followed by Medical school is costly. The award would go toward her academic journey, paying for classes, books, and other educational necessities.
