Learn MoreWhy They Love Being a Student
Blake loves the challenge of learning about new topics, whether it’s reading about history or learning a new math equation. He’s kindhearted and enjoys helping other students and peers , and engaging with his teachers and coaches. He’s an independent learner and doesn’t hesitate to research an interesting topic on his own.
Favorite Subject & Why
Blake’s favorite subject is math, although he has recently discovered astrophysics after a visit to the Chicago planetary museum. Incorporating math into the study of planets and stars has really pulled him in and become a new challenge for him to understand. Understanding numbers has been easy for him, but understanding black holes and gravity is a new world!
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
Blake plans to attend college, a $20,000 award would not only hugely help with those costs but also give him the opportunities to take summer camps and courses and make visits to places to further pursue his educational interests, opportunities that he wouldn’t otherwise have.
