Why They Love Being a Student

Breaker has always been able to understand concepts from a scientific, logical and cause/effect approach with everything in life. He takes pride in being intelligent but not without being humble. He is interested in the why of things and sharing what he knows with all around him. Knowledge has been how he bonds with adults, other kids, peers and educators.He's learned to respectfully question information, critically think and use information to his advantage in understanding a problem/situation.

Favorite Subject & Why

It's hard to narrow down his favorite subject but it overall would be Science. Biology, Zoology, Entomology, Chemistry, Botany are all within the subjects he gravitates towards. His interest in science has led him to the non-fiction section of the library and has made him an excellent reader, far beyond his grade level. Science gives him a confidence on knowledge and daily application that we believe is rare to see from the age his interest emerged at 3 years old until now.

How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals

Breaker has been given the nickname of, "Mr. Encyclopedia" since the age of 3 at pre-school. We always invest in activities, books, camps, clubs and extracurricular things. We've tried all the sports. Nothing seems to exist to bring science minded kids together. He has an expressed an entrepreneurial spirit in bringing kids together to create a like minded group of kids with similar interests. Being profitable doesn't seem to interest him but solving local issues and creating belonging does.
