Nominated by her teachers, Brooklyn represents her peers as a Student Senator of her school district. Having a leadership role has sparked a deeper desire of speaking to make the right changes for her peers. Learning gives Brooklyn an opportunity to have a voice, stand up for whats right and create a better future for young girls and new generations.

Since 2012,Brooklyn has found a way to incorporate reading and writing into everything she does.Her favorite subject is the English Language Arts because not only does it give her a way to express herself, it also gives her a chance to change what others might not be able to.She has written many articles, essays, books and stories about her experiences as a young woman in a big world.Brooklyn reads to knowledge herself about struggles of the past and how their challenges can be a changed future.

Brooklyn’s 6th grade year is when she secured her future and made the decision to study at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, graduating with a Master’s degree in Sociology.
