Why They Love Being a Student

Byron loves learning and the feeling of accomplishment when working out a tough problem. He received the highest math test score in Calera Middle School at the SCISC tournament. He loves the whole social aspect of school as well as the educational. He loves supporting his school by going to the football games and pep rallies. Being part of the school band has really further his love for music. He has always loved art, music, electronics and soccer.

Favorite Subject & Why

I don't know that he has an actual favorite. He used to struggle with math but has put in the work to better himself and gain the confidence that comes with preparation and knowledge . He loves history and science. To be able to see how we lived in the past, learn from it and to see in science , how you could create a whole new future. I see how happy he is when he is practicing his trumpet and when playing concerts at school so I know music is a great love of his.

How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals

We would definitely put the $20,000 towards his college fund. He is so smart and has a thirst for knowledge. I cannot wait to see how he chooses to use all of his talents and hunger to better himself. He is going to be a great man and a great contribution to whatever path he chooses to take in life.
