Why They Love Being a Student

Chris loves being a student because he enjoys learning new things and wants to remain a lifelong learner. He is curious, inquisitive, and engaged. He finds excitement in discovering new ideas, reading books on a wide range of topics, and working with peers on school projects. Being in school allows him to explore his interests, ask questions, and grow intellectually while collaborating with others. He loves spending time on the playground enjoying the great weather and amongst his friends

Chris’s favorite subjects are Science and ELA. Science reflects his love of nature, the outdoors, and understanding how the world works. ELA fuels his imagination, taking him beyond the ordinary into creative and fantastical worlds that feel far from Earth. Together, these subjects let him explore both the real world around him and the limitless possibilities of storytelling and ideas.

How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals

A $20,000 award would help Chris support the learning environment that inspires him. He plans to donate the entire prize to his public school to expand the library with more books for students to explore diverse topics and ideas. He also hopes to support resources for additional field trips into nature so students can learn beyond the classroom, experience the outdoors firsthand, and develop curiosity about the world around them.
