Learn MoreWhy They Love Being a Student
Ellie loves being a student because she’s excited to learn new things, enjoys being with her friends, and has a great teacher who inspires her. School feels like a second home where she’s comfortable, supported, and happy to grow.
Favorite Subject & Why
Ellie’s favorite subjects are writing and science. In writing she can “pour her heart into it,” using creativity to express ideas and stories. In science she loves exploring interesting topics—especially space—and discovering how the world works. Since Ellie was 2 she has wanted to build rockets and go to space, especially Mars.
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
Ellie decided long ago what she wants to do with her life, be an engineer, build rockets and go to space. $20,000 would go a long way in helping her achieve her goal of going to the University of Washington for aeronautics and astronautics. It may be 8 years away, but she hasn’t wavered in her career goals for the last 8 years, so I have all the faith in the world that she will achieve them.
