Why They Love Being a Student

She comes home excited every day to tell us all the new things she's learned. When we visit her classroom, she takes us around and shows us all the projects she's doing. Substitute teachers have told me she helps them with their daily schedule making sure the class' routine is not derailed.

Favorite Subject & Why

Art and Science. Emily is creative and loves to paint and draw. She likes cutting out shapes and glueing them on paper and creating new things out of raw materials. She loves to explore how things work and asks all kinds of why and how questions.

How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals

The money would go towards Emily's college savings account. If the opportunity becomes available for private school, we would explore those options and allocate funds to early education so that she can have the grades and extracurricular opportunities that can open the door for scholarships for higher education after graduation.
