Learn MoreWhy They Love Being a Student
Emma loves being a student because she sees education as opportunity. She graduated early, completed college coursework, and applies what she learns to her leadership roles and her dog grooming business, Leroy’s Place. Learning gives her confidence, independence, and the tools to serve others. To Emma, being a student isn’t just about grades — it’s about growth, purpose, and preparing to make a difference.
Favorite Subject & Why
Emma’s favorite subject is Agricultural Education because it connects learning to real life. Through FFA and hands-on experiences, she has explored animal science, leadership, and entrepreneurship. Agriculture has strengthened her communication skills and deepened her passion for serving others through her dog grooming business, Leroy’s Place. It’s a subject that challenges her, builds confidence, and prepares her for her future career.
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
A $20,000 award would significantly reduce the financial burden of Emma’s college education as she pursues her Associate of Applied Science degree in Canine Assisted Services. Without FAFSA assistance, she will rely on loans to cover tuition, books, and required program expenses. This support would allow her to focus on academics, clinical training, and growing her skills — not financial stress — as she prepares for her future career.
