Evan’s nickname at school is “Evan the Science Guy!” He loves science & always has fun facts to add to his teacher’s lessons.
Thank you for supporting Evan in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for The Planetary Society and their mission to inspire curiosity and help shape the future of space exploration for everyone.
America's Favorite Student will share their educational journey in the pages of Reader’s Digest, highlighting the power of learning and inspiring readers nationwide.
Learn MoreWhy They Love Being a Student
HE DOESN’T!!! Every morning, Evan laments being sent to “kid jail.” He hates sitting at a desk, but he LOVES learning! (About everything except math, that is!) He’s a very hard worker and especially loves learning about science and the environment. He can’t wait to be finished with school so he can move to Africa and become a Pangolin Rescuer!
Favorite Subject & Why
Science, of course! Evan loves learning how things work and why they work that way. In summer science camp, he even volunteered to put together his own experiment to demonstrate for the whole camp! (Unbeknownst to his mom.) Evan isn’t just passionate about science — he’s passionate about sharing it with other kids!
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
Evan’s mom entered him into this contest mainly just so he’d have the chance to meet Bill Nye! :) But she and Evan certainly wouldn’t turn down prize money. As a solo parent, his mom will take all the help she can get in supporting Evan and his dreams!
