Learn MoreWhy They Love Being a Student
In addition to Gage’s natural curiosity and love of learning, he enjoys being a student because he feels understood and supported. His school offers a strong curriculum that accommodates independent learning styles. Gage did not always love school; his introduction to Kindergarten took place on a laptop in our living room. Transitioning to a classroom wasn't easy but an early diagnosis of dyslexia, his schools were able to make small adjustments that helped him truly soar.
Favorite Subject & Why
Gage’s favorite subject in school is art because it gives him the chance to express himself in a creative way. He especially enjoys drawing and turning the ideas in his imagination into pictures. Art allows him to be creative and create things that are uniquely his own. He likes that there isn’t always just one way to do something in art, making it fun and exciting for him. No matter what he's drawing, he enjoys the freedom to use his imagination to create something from his own ideas.
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
A $20,000 award would help make Gage’s dream of attending Space Camp affordable. He loves learning about space, planets, and astronauts, and this would let him explore those interests through hands-on activities. The award would help make this possible and any remaining funds would be saved to support his future education.
