Why They Love Being a Student

Gunnar loves learning and he loves reading. If there's a new historical fact that he didn't already know, he soaks it up like a sponge. He constantly wants to know how the world around him works and why things work the way they do. If he ever has a question like, does the Moon spin while it orbits the earth or when will the next lunar eclipse happen, he immediately goes on the hunt for the answer. He's just so intrigued by the world around him and he never stops asking questions.

Favorite Subject & Why

Gunnar loves reading and social studies the most. He loves reading because it expands his world. He's constantly losing himself within the pages of a book, disappearing into timelines of the past or adventures into the future. And he cannot get enough about history. He wants to know how we got here, why society functions how it does and who's responsible for the world today. His heart beats with compassion over past injustices and strives to learn so he can help provide a better tomorrow.

How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals

Gunnar loves animals! His ultimate dream job is to become a zoologist. This award would help fund his dreams of going to college one day to pursue his passion of studying, helping, and working with any and all animals. With the staggering cost of college only getting more out of control, anything we can set aside to save for him would be a huge help!
