Learn MoreWhy They Love Being a Student
Her constant curiosity and discovery of new concepts. She loves to be pushed and constantly challenged. Hailey has always challenged herself from a young age. She has always encouraged the teachers to challenge her, starting in Pre-School she was doing Kindergarten and 1st grade homework. She is always looking for the answer to complex problems and has always taken the highest STEM courses available.
Favorite Subject & Why
There isn’t just one to choose from. It’s definitely all math and sciences! She loves complex math problems in her AP Calculus BC class and loves the hands-on discovery in her AP Physics and AP Chemistry classes. AP Physics is the ultimate puzzle, where she uses her complex Calculus to predict physical outcomes! AP Chemistry turns the abstract concepts into predictable systems! Studying all 3 of these at once is such a powerful toolkit for deeper learning and understanding!
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
The $20,000 would help her offset her costs at the United States Merchant Marine Academy as she doesn’t get paid and still has some cost out of pocket unlike the other U.S. Service Academies.
