Learn MoreWhy They Love Being a Student
She loves being a student because she gets to learn new things everyday that she could use in her future. Even if the new information does not apply to science only, she loves to absorb every bit she can get. Not only does she like to learn new stuff but she gets to share it with others and help those around her. She loves correcting misconceptions that she may have had by asking her teachers more about the topic proving her interest and dedication to learning.
Favorite Subject & Why
My child's favorite subject is biology because she loves learning about the functions of the body and how it works on a microscopic level. It not only broadens her horizons about other people but also helps her learn more about her own body and think about what may be causing certain things to happen.
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
A $20,000 award could help finance her college tuition to earn her degree in biology and to reach her career goal of becoming a forensic scientist. She attends community college in the morning and high school in the afternoon so that she can graduate with her high school diploma and her Associates degree at the same time. She works after-school as a math tutor for children in grades 3-5 to save for college. After graduation, she wants to obtain her Bachelors Degree in biology.
