My son loves being a student because he has such a passion for learning. He loves being able to be an environment where he can be hands-on. He loves to dive deeper into different events that he’s learned about in school. Despite his learning disability, he loves to learn and the information he can hold in his brain is unbelievable. With the struggles daily in school he’s one of the most positive people I know.
Favorite Subject & Why
Jacob’s first favorite subject is history when he was about four or five years old we read about Gettysburgs. Instantly he fell in love with Abraham Lincoln and he’s been obsessed with him ever since. We try very hard to take him to all these historical places so he’s able to learn about them not only in the classroom but in person. Jacob’s second favorite subject is science he loves science labs in school and loves to be hands-on. At home, he likes experimenting with whatever he find at home.
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
Given this $20,000 award would help my son’s educational goal by not giving him any limitations to what he would like to study one day. I try to tell him all the time that some of the smartest and most brilliant people have learning disabilities and he always should reach for the stars. He’s an amazing person and student. His teachers have never said anything less.
