Learn MoreWhy They Love Being a Student
He loves going to school and absorbing all of the information he can. He’s always eager to try new things and make new friends. My son has a specialized program put into place for him since he isn’t quite ready for a gen-ed classroom but also doesn’t quite fit into an all special-ed classroom either. The goal is to get him a regular diploma and to integrate him into being in gen-ed full time. Not only does my son love being at school but the school loves having him there.
Favorite Subject & Why
His favorite subject is reading! He’s always been a very strong reader as he learned to read before he could verbalize and form his own sentences. His favorite books are the “llama llama” books and the “how do dinosaurs” books. He’s also currently taking interest in Spanish so I’m excited to see how he takes off with it.
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
My son has Autism spectrum disorder. He started school at the ripe age of 3 and has loved it ever since. $20,000 would help his educational goals by setting him up and giving him the opportunities that every other neurotypical kid might have. Jax faces many challenges on a daily basis but he is so bright and so smart. This would give him the boost that he is going to need in a world that isn’t quite designed for him.
