Why They Love Being a Student

Jaxon loves being a student because he is naturally curious about everything. He’s always asking questions and wanting to understand how things work. He enjoys learning new things, making friends, and growing each day. He also loves when learning feels fun, especially through games and activities. His teachers already notice his excitement and eagerness to learn, even at just 6 years old.

Favorite Subject & Why

Jaxon’s favorite subject is science because he loves discovering how things work. He loves getting new “science kits” and now that he is making huge progress in reading he is able to complete some of the experiments on his own! He also wants to mention that he likes his ‘Computer Science’ time during specials class where he is able to play online games independently. No matter what subject it is, Jaxon makes strides to understand it and give it his best effort.

How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals

A $20,000 award would open up amazing opportunities for Jaxon’s education. It would support programs and future schooling, while also allowing us to visit places he’s curious about like the Lincoln Memorial, MLK Memorial, and 9/11 Memorial - bringing the history he has learned about to life! It would help us get him started early in lessons he’s excited about, like piano and learning new languages, especially Spanish. Most importantly, it would help us to nurture his curiosity!
