Joey just loves to learn, about pretty much anything. He’s curious, kind and never afraid to push for more answers. He is very self disciplined with his studying and assigns himself research reports and other tasks to keep his mind sharp.
Favorite Subject & Why
Science! Joey has gone through a few different phases of interests over the years for his self studies, but they are always science related. One of his first big interests was human anatomy, he can name every bone in the body as well as many of the other systems. He has moved into a love of all things meteorology, and his number one favorite thing to study and track are hurricanes.
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
Joey is currently one of 24 kids from central New York moving on to the next round before the national spelling bee. He enjoys pushing his knowledge and trying new things, as well as entering many science contests. Joey can use the award to help support his short term goals for travel and science equipment, and also long term help for college
