Learn MoreWhy They Love Being a Student
Josiah loves being a student because he loves learning. He has been learning to read and speak Spanish since kindergarten, loves math--is in an honors class, and loves to read.
Favorite Subject & Why
Math is Josiah's favorite subject, followed by Spanish, and then history. Josiah took to math like water to a duck; he loves crunching numbers and can do most math problems in his head. Josiah enjoys it because "it is so easy" and as Josiah learns different kinds of math problems, he finds pleasure in getting to the right answer.
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
This award would help to cement Josiah's ability to attend and graduate a four-year college/university. Josiah would be a first generation male to graduate on his father's side though he would be a third generation on his mother's. While Josiah has about 5 years before he graduates, the cost of college is not getting cheaper and every penny helps. It is imperative that preparations are made to help fund his education.
