Joys favorite subject is Reading. She is a profound reader and writer and has performed beyond above her expectations not only at school, but at home as well. She has never been at or on her grade level in reading. Always well above. She comes alive when she is and reading and writing. Joy enjoys reading because it creates adventure for her through the characters and broadens her imagination. It’s her happy place. :)
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
A $20,000 award would support Joy’s educational goals by giving her the opportunity to put more towards her college education. She wants to attend Howard University, and I know this award would certainly help her get there and aid in her school needs/supplies.
