Why They Love Being a Student

She loves being a student because she enjoys collecting knowledge and experiences. She takes pride in figuring out things that she hadn’t encountered before, from the anatomy of a human hand to psychological theories on development. She loves how there are so many topics that can be learned, and each new topic opens up a path in her mind.

Favorite Subject & Why

Anais’ favorite subject has always been science. Currently, she’s invested in life sciences, such as anatomy, biology, human body systems, etc. However, before life sciences, she was very curious about chemicals and their interactions. Ultimately, her love of science dates back to 4th grade when she won second place at her school for her science project.

How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals

Anais recently got accepted into her dream school, Spelman College. There, she wants to pursue her education in biology, move on to medical school, and eventually become a dermatologist. While she’s extremely excited about the opportunity Spelman presents, she’s aware that medical school is costly. With this $20,000 award, Anais could begin the journey & pursue her dream without the financial burden weighing her down.
