Why They Love Being a Student

Katya has a dream she is so passionate about, it has become her mission: to build new generation spacecraft and fly them to space. She knows that space exploration brings many fields of study together and she enjoys mastering all of them. Katya is an enthusiastic learner and thrives in the structure and challenges afforded by her schools. Katya is also keen on sharing her knowledge, taking the time to tutor her fellow students and lead school clubs.

Favorite Subject & Why

Katya’s favorite subject has been mathematics. In preparation for an aerospace engineering program in college, Katya has been enrolled in advanced mathematics and science classes, where she has excelled and continues to do well. She is a keen student of physics, understanding the science of our planet, the solar system, rocketry and flight. Katya also thrives in liberal arts classes, including history and languages, achieving biliteracy in Latin.

How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals

Katya’s dream is to go to space and to push the boundaries of space exploration further than has been achieved so far. To fulfill that dream Katya is putting the hardest work into growing academically and as a person. This award will shore up that dream financially and would be a crucial stepping stone towards Katya’s dream school.
