Learn MoreWhy They Love Being a Student
Intellectually curious and never limited by obstacles, Keeran reflects both natural talent and years of hard work. When he looks at the stars he wants to understand how they exist, what they are made of, and what else may be out there. Math is his language. We even put whiteboards in two rooms so he can work through ideas. He started his first math club in 5th grade and later a community STEM Circle. Most of all, he loves sharing what he learns with others.
Favorite Subject & Why
Math came first, but an AoPS Intro to Physics in 7th grade sparked his passion. He took AP Physics 1 in 8th grade, dual credit physics at Wright State in 9th, and AP Physics C Mechanics and Electricity and Magnetism in 10th and 11th. By 10th grade he was an AJAS Fellow. After exhausting school math he now studies multivariable calculus through Stanford Online High School and hopes to take modern physics next. 4 yrs of science fair superior ratings, just missing ISEF, projects from ion drives.
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
Keeran hopes to attend a university near a research lab or one that offers opportunities to study at CERN during the summer. Experiences like these would help him pursue his passion for physics. Any scholarship is of course an honor and would mean so much.
