My son lives life to the fullest. He is curious, kind, and brings a smile to anyone’s face, and has a love for learning (especially math).
Thank you for supporting Kingston in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for The Planetary Society and their mission to inspire curiosity and help shape the future of space exploration for everyone.
America's Favorite Student will share their educational journey in the pages of Reader’s Digest, highlighting the power of learning and inspiring readers nationwide.
Learn MoreWhy They Love Being a Student
Kingston loves being a student because he gets to learn new things every day. His favorite part is when he works really hard to understand something that seemed hard and a struggle at first but then he gets it and it makes him feel proud. He also likes reading fun stories like ‘I Survive’ series, spiders, and, ‘Weird School Daze’ series, or doing math challenges, and making cool art projects. School is awesome because he gets to see his friends and play at recess too.
Favorite Subject & Why
Kingston’s favorite subject is science because he likes to learn ‘why does that happen?, discovering new things, and he loves when they do cool science experiments in class and he even participated and created science projects at my school’s science fair! But his most favorite part is asking questions!! “My mom says I ask 10000 questions before she even had her coffee but my teacher loves my questions during science!!!”
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
If Kingston was awarded the 20,000, I would put most of it in his 529 college plan and than use some of it now towards tutoring for spelling and writing since that is the area he has struggled in this grade level and is not meeting his goals.
