Why They Love Being a Student

She enjoys helping others at school get through their day, especially if they had a bad day. Launa has had hardship herself with the loss of her father, so guidance for other students, if they need reassurance in their own life, is important to her. Launa has a career mindset to be a teacher in Agriculture Education, following her dreams to help students with any needs, and to continue her passion with animals. She has not found a teacher she does not enjoy learning from, and enjoys school!

Favorite Subject & Why

Anything animal- FFA, and then Biology, followed by English/writting. She is a true country farm girl, with the love and passion for animals. Being on the farm, helping with various animal health emergencies, Launa has risen to the task without hesitation. This is what makes her excel in school in these subjects with wanting to become a teacher in the future. Her patience and love with her disabled sister and others makes any person know she is in the right career path for teaching!

How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals

With being on the farm, taking care of a special needs child with very rare metabolic disorders, and trying to send Launa to college, we just do not have the funds for her. We would greatly appreciate any scholarship and awards. Launa could not be more of a wonderful, caring, grateful daughter. This girl works 2 jobs, comes home to help on the farm, plus helps with her sister while maintaining a 3.9 GPA and in NHS! Her teachers adore her too! Please consider her to continue her dreams!
