Why They Love Being a Student

My son loves learning. He always has the deep questions and loves to find out the answers. He is high functioning autistic and definitely loves the routine, schedule and results of being a student. He always enjoys thinking outside the box and questioning the things a lot of people don't even think about. He does enjoy his own discovery and learning, yet thrives on knowing he has the right answer.

Favorite Subject & Why

My son's favorite subject is science. He loves the subject matter especially anything having to do with space and astronomy. He likes the explorative aspect of science and how science gives meaning and reasoning behind things. He is good at math which also helps with the science. He enjoys being able to always have questions in science and then learning the answers to them and the "why" behind things.

How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals

He wants to work for NASA (or similar). He would be able to not only invest some for his college/graduate studies, but possible use some in order to start his educational goals with a space camp. He needs to be able to get an advanced degree for his desired goal, but honestly due to our income and large family, we would not be able to fund completely what he wants and needs to do. This money would make a HUGE difference and impact in allowing him to reach for the stars!
