Why They Love Being a Student

I love being a student mostly because of the amazing people and opportunities. Not only is meeting peers fun and a great way to network, but my professors have amazing connections that can help students out for whatever career they may want to go into. Since I am going into communications, it's mostly about networking and since I have a love for meeting people and trying new things, I get all the resources I need on campus to do so!

Favorite Subject & Why

My favorite subject this semester is Writing for Mass Media with Joshua Criswell. He is an amazing writer and professor who has great connections in the journalism industry. He also introduced me to one of my favorite clubs - the sports section for the school newspaper, the Houstonian. I also am currently taking Stars and Galaxies with Scott Miller, this class is the main reason for my application! This professor makes the course so interesting and makes sure every student is in understanding!

How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals

A $20,000 reward would go toward the remainder of my college and possibly supporting me for the opportunity to go into graduate school. I have a huge passion for everything I've tried under the mass communications umbrella (journalism, photography, social media, etc). It would be a dream to continue my education at Sam Houston for journalism specifically.
