Why They Love Being a Student

Because being a student lets her turn curiosity into a real future. She loves learning how things work, especially in health and emergency services, and then using that knowledge to help people. School gives her structure, community, and chances to grow as a leader while proving to herself that she can overcome anything she’s been through.

Favorite Subject & Why

My child’s favorite subject is science, especially physics and chemistry, because that’s where everything she’s curious about comes to life through experiments. Growing up watching Bill Nye made science feel exciting and fun, and as a hands-on learner, the labs and demonstrations were always where she thrived. Science lets her explore, test ideas, and actually see concepts in action, which keeps her engaged and inspired to keep learning.

How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals

A 20,000 award would be life-changing for my daughter’s education. After a serious car accident where she broke her arm and needed surgeries, she lost time and opportunities to apply for scholarships. She is determined to become a paramedic, but many programs cost $5,000–$20,000 and these programs often don’t qualify for federal/state financial aid. This scholarship would finally give her the chance to complete her training and achieve the career she has worked so hard for.
