Learn MoreWhy They Love Being a Student
Maniah genuinely enjoys learning. She is very inquisitive; always asking questions, googling to connect dots, finding out new anecdotes to tell someone. Maniah is also a member of her school’s Inspiring Minds Teacher Prep program where she gets to help teach Kinder-kids their basic learning skills and she loves to engage with her students. Her love of new knowledge, not just knowledge itself, shows that she will always be ready to learn. That makes for an excellent student.
Favorite Subject & Why
Maniah’s favorite subjects are History and Art. She is extremely talented in Visual Arts, having had a love of drawing and graphics since she was about 4 years old. Maniah is also a History buff. Learning the lives and times of eras past is always a great time, and she shares that passion with her mom.
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
Maniah will be attending the University of Texas @ Dallas to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Gaming Design & Animation. While not currently on a scholarship, Maniah will be relying on merit-based grants that she will receive after high school graduation. $20000 will greatly aid in helping secure her first year’s tuition, as well as on-campus housing. UT of Dallas is in the Top 15% in this particular field. Game design and development is her life’s dream, and this is the school to get her there.
