Learn MoreWhy They Love Being a Student
4.0 GPA student, in all advanced classes. She was recently accepted into a Clinical Medical Assistant Program at the new IMPACT Center, a first-of-its-kind, in the country, based on FranklinCovey curriculum, in Warren County, Kentucky. Started learning about stars, space, space shuttle graphs, planets and more at the planetarium from a young age. She even plans to volunteer when she turns 16. Part of the Academic Team, FCCLA, Theater, Archery, Gifted and Talented, and National Beta Club.
Favorite Subject & Why
Math. She is very good with numbers and understands it's a constant that is the basis of all subjects. Taking Algebra 1 and Geometry as a freshman, but plans to take Algebra 2, AP PreCalculus and possibly Dual Credit College Algebra next year as a sophomore. Often the first one to answer in class. Hoping to use math in her pursuit of becoming a doctor and solving, so many, problems of the world. She even has a poster of Einstein hanging up. Hoping to incorporate math into science like Bill Nye.
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
It would give her more confidence in pursuing her education in the medical field, knowing how expensive it can be. Getting such a huge jump start will keep her motivated through the rest of high school. If she has already completed some college during her high school years, she hopefully will be able to financially get through the remainder without as much student loans and debt. Knowing how big of an issue this is in our country right now, we would hate for this to hold back her dreams & future
