Favorite Subject & Why
His first after school program was Science Explorers, it nurtured his curiosite giving him a lifelong interest in science. He enjoys taking what he learned in the classroom and applying it to life and asking new questions. His love of the ocean and sharks has driven him to want to become a marine biologist working on ocean life conservation on a global scale. For him Science is an international language on its own.
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
A Scuba Certification class and equipment is $600. Our HS Science curriculum doesn’t offer marine biology so dual enrollment in community college at reduced cost. Ichthyology education camps costing $3000 or more plus travel expenses. This wisdom opens opportunities that are out of reach for a student who doesn't live in a coastal community.
