Why They Love Being a Student

My son has always loved being a student because he’s naturally curious and genuinely excited to learn. He enjoys asking questions, exploring new ideas, and challenging himself in school. Whether he’s studying science, helping classmates understand a problem, or discovering something new, learning brings him joy. As his mom, it’s been amazing to watch his passion grow and see how much he cares about both learning and helping others succeed.

Favorite Subject & Why

I think his favorite subject is chemistry because he loves understanding how reactions work and how they connect to medicine and the human body. He spends hours studying mechanisms, teaching organic chemistry concepts to other students, and preparing for competitions like Chemistry Olympiad and Science Olympiad. As his mom, it’s been amazing watching him turn his curiosity into a passion for learning and helping others understand science too.

How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals

A $20,000 award would help my son continue tutoring students in science while giving him the chance to explore the world and learn from people working in science across different countries and communities. He’s always been curious, and opportunities like travel, research, and mentorship would allow him to see how science is practiced in different places. It would also help support his college education and future research so he can keep learning and sharing that passion with others.
