Moira loves being a student because she’s always been curious about the world around her, and has also always been aware of how lucky she is to have the opportunity to learn. Her empathy for others has given her a very grateful heart, and she loves learning so she can share that joy with others who share her interests.

She loves science, art, and english; she wants to be an environmental photojournalist when she graduates. She loves plants and animals and has excelled in writing since she was young. While she has several passions within science like entomology, botany and herbalism, her favorite class she’s ever taken was AP seminar because she loved writing essays about real world issues she’s passionate about.
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
The $20,000 award would support Moira’s educational goals as she aspires to go to a competitive college to learn about environmental conservation, and travel throughout her young adult years to gain experience for her career. Having reward money leftover to build her writing career post-graduation would also boost her chances of entrepreneurial success immensely.
