Why They Love Being a Student

Learning has always been Morgan's passion. When a tough concept clicks, it is infinitely satisfying and fulfilling. However, her favorite part of being a student is collaboration with others. The more she learns, the more she can be an asset to a team of her peers. She has always been a team-player and learns so she can go on to help others and learn from them.

Favorite Subject & Why

Morgan's favorite subject is mathematics. In fact, that is what she plans to major in when she reaches college. Math is a universal language, and one that helps interpret the everyday, and language learning has always been a skill of my student. Tough science concepts or English essays can become a formula if one sees it that way, which Morgan does. Math brings the most joy to my student, specifically calculus. During her free hour at school, she learns AP calculus BC to prepare for college.

How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals

This award would make more colleges an option for Morgan. She seeks a challenging curriculum and new community of peers to learn with and learn from. Tuition is obviously not cheap, but we know Morgan would benefit immensely from a college education. More specifically, this award could also help with the costs need-based aid often ignores, such as housing, food, and books.
