My daughter loves being a student because learning helps her grow and overcome challenges. Despite dyslexia, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and hyperreactive hypoglycemia, she pushes herself academically while serving as Drum Major, competing in swim & dive, and excelling in AP Art. She has been an art student all four years and has earned medals for her artwork at competitions every year.
Favorite Subject & Why
My daughter’s favorite subject is psychology because she is fascinated by how the mind works and why people behave the way they do. AP Psychology sparked her interest in possibly working in behavioral analysis for the military one day. While she has earned top scores in band, swim & dive, and art all four years, psychology inspires her to keep learning and understanding people.
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
Morgan is one of five children in a family supporting grandparents with dementia and ongoing medical care. She is responsible for paying the majority of her college education. This support will help her attend UTSA and pursue her psychology degree as she prepares for a career helping others through mental health care and making people feel seen, understood, and supported.
