Why They Love Being a Student

My child loves being a student because she enjoys challenging her potential and discovering how the world works around her. She is passionate about reading, writing, creating, and encouraging others to be their best. She hopes to one day support children with disabilities and create a safe, inclusive space where all students can learn at their own pace and according to their individual abilities. She has the compassion to inspire change and the courage to try to make a difference.

Favorite Subject & Why

My star child is a lover of space and science and is awe-inspired by rare celestial phenomena. We have travelled across the state to witness totality of a solar eclipse and were lucky to experience solar bands, we have stayed up late on dirt roads watching the aurora, travelled to hidden lakes to watch the Gemenid meteor shower, we have pictures with the once-in-a-lifetime A3 comet. Her passion for science extends far beyond space but space is certainly our favorite!

How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals

We would use the $20,000 to enroll her into a Montessori school where her curiosity and love of discovery can thrive. She learns best through hands-on, self-paced exploration that encourages critical thinking and creativity. This opportunity would help her to grow into the compassionate leader she hopes to be and support her goal of creating inclusive learning spaces for children of all abilities.
