Learn MoreWhy They Love Being a Student
Ola loves being a student for several reasons. She enjoys learning new things and being challenged in subjects that make her think and grow. She also likes spending time with her friends at school and working together on activities and projects. Ola takes pride in doing her best on assignments and feels a strong sense of accomplishment when she earns good grades. She especially enjoys the fun traditions at school, like Spirit Weeks, and really values being part of the school community.
Favorite Subject & Why
Ola’s "current" favorite subject is Social Studies/ History. She enjoys learning about different cultures and time periods and finds history fun and interesting to explore. She likes discovering how people lived in the past and how historical events shaped the world we live in today. Ola also really enjoys her social studies teacher and the creative projects they do in class that bring history to life and help her better understand what they are learning.
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
If Ola were awarded the $20,000, we would place it in a college savings account so it can grow over the next several years before she begins college. We know the cost of higher education continues to rise, and this award would help us build a strong foundation for her future and ease some of the financial burden when she pursues her educational goals.
