Why They Love Being a Student

My child loves being a student because learning deepens her curiosity and helps her explore new ideas. Even though she’s shy, she never hesitates to ask questions and seeks to truly understand what she learns. Her classmates often turn to her for help when they struggle, and that makes me proud of her kindness, patience, and the reputation she’s built for always being willing to support others.

Favorite Subject & Why

Olivia’s favorite subject is culinary arts. At first, I thought she loved it just for cooking, but she told me it’s because making food for others brings her joy. I’ll never forget coming home late to find her proudly serving dishes she learned at school. Hearing her explain the science behind cooking like starch thickening sauces or enzymes tenderizing meat showed how she connects her passion with STEM.

How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals

The $20,000 would support Olivia’s educational goals of starting her own restaurant and bakery one day. She finds joy when her cooking is praised and often uses her talents to help others, even raising over $100 in bake sales for dog shelters in China. Olivia hopes to research at out-of-state universities, and this funding would ease financial pressure on our family as olivia has 2 other siblings.
