Why They Love Being a Student

My child loves being a student because every day gives him an opportunity to learn something new. He is very competitive and wants to be the first to give answers. If it involves mixing things and conducting an experiment, he becomes intrigued with different results. He wants to know the answer about many wonders of the world even if we are not able to tell him. We will then do independent research to ensure he gets the answer he was looking for. Orion's mind moves very fast.

Favorite Subject & Why

Orion's favorite subject is Science and engineering. He loves taking things apart and putting them back together. He is curious on how objects works or how joints make a moving part. He enjoys doing experiments and lights up when the experiment is conducted. His excitement speaks volumes when he is learning something new where he can be hands-on.

How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals

The $20,000 award can help us support Orion by placing him in more challenging curriculums. Orion is advanced and has always made great grades since preschool. However, we had challenges with his behavior at times because he always ended up bored in his classes. The award will help us parents figure out where Orion stands with his IQ. We truly believe that he belongs in more advanced courses. Whether that is private school or summer activities, we hope to help him get more involved with science.
