Rebekah loves being a student because she enjoyed learning new things and is open to topics that she knows nothing about. She loves teaching out her comfort zone and becoming knowledgeable on topics, and she shows her mastery on them through her excitement towards and participation in academic clubs or competitions like Science Olympiad. She is motivated by her future dreams and aspirations, and she loves being a student because learning as much as she can will bring her closer to her goals.

Favorite Subject & Why

Rebekah’s favorite subject is biology, but she is also interested in algebra and other sciences. She finds topics about cells, molecular biology, and anatomy very interesting because she believes those topics are the building blocks to life and are what makes life so unique. She enjoys taking notes, studying, listening to lectures, and showcasing her knowledge of biology. She values the importance of this topic as the reason for life and hopes to learn more about it in the future.

A $20,000 award would support Rebekah’s educational goals by opening up opportunities outside of school for her to learn more, and the award would also support her in her future career through paying for college expenses. She plans to pursue higher education for multiple years, hopes to gain an education from a prestigious university, and wants to attain a PhD, so this money would help her afford her educational goals and bring her closer to her dreams of changing the world.
