Why They Love Being a Student

Reed treats the world like a giant puzzle waiting to be solved. As an 8-year-old 3rd grader, his love for being a student stems from a deep, skeptical curiosity; he doesn’t just want the facts, he wants to understand the physics and math behind them. He’s the first to ask "how" something works and the last to give up on a tough problem. Above all, he is incredibly kind, using his bright mind to help others. To Reed, school is the ultimate laboratory.

Favorite Subject & Why

Reed’s favorite subject at Salisbury Elementary is a tie between Math and Science, specifically where they intersect in Physics. He is a naturally skeptical 3rd grader who doesn't just want to "know" a fact, he wants to prove it. He loves that math provides a concrete language to explain how the world works. Whether he’s calculating trajectories or asking deep questions about gravity, Reed is driven by a desire to decode the universe and share that kindness and wonder with his peers.

How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals

A $20,000 award would be a "launchpad" for Reed’s future. We would invest it in a PA 529 plan, allowing the funds to grow tax-free alongside his curiosity. Since Reed dreams of a career in physics or space science, fields that often require a Master’s or PhD, starting this fund now ensures that his 3rd-grade passion isn't limited by future costs. It gives our skeptical, kind-hearted explorer the financial freedom to follow the data all the way to a university degree and beyond.
