Why They Love Being a Student
RJ loves being a student because he is naturally curious and always asking questions. He enjoys learning through computers, books, educational videos and hands on! Growing up in a small town means fewer resources, but that never stops him from exploring and learning on his own. He also has a big heart and shows patience and kindness every day, especially when mom’s autoimmune illnesses make life challenging.
Favorite Subject & Why
RJ’s favorite subject is science because he loves discovering how things work and learning through hands-on experiences. While he tests above grade level in math and reading, science excites his curiosity the most. He enjoys asking questions, experimenting, and connecting what he learns to the real world, whether through technology, nature, or everyday life.
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
This award would help start RJ’s college fund and give him opportunities we don’t have in our small town. It could help him attend science or technology programs, travel, and explore new learning experiences that support his curiosity and future goals.
