Sam loves impressing his teachers with his vast knowledge on many subjects and inspiring his classmates with all he knows. He loves being able to explore his interests like music and science. He gets to learn and discover himself surrounded by friends and his favorite teachers.

Samuel loves math and science. Math has always come easily to Sam, seeing numbers, patterns and solutions. He loves science because it teaches him about how anything and everything works. Knowing how things work helps drive his creativity in mechanical engineering.
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
Sam wants to donate a portion of his award to his school’s S.M.I.L.E club (science, math, investigative learning experience) that’s losing funding and his band program to not only support himself but his community. He will save the rest for college expenses.
