Learn MoreWhy They Love Being a Student
My son is naturally curious and loves discovering how the world works. He thrives with hands-on learning where he can explore ideas and ask questions. He would spend hours using a microscope to study things he collected outside and never failed to bring home dirt, stones or sticks in his pockets. As he learned how important insects are to ecosystems, he decided he never kills bugs—he carefully relocates them instead. He loves putting into action what he learns if it means a better world.
Favorite Subject & Why
Science is his favorite subject because it lets him explore ideas through experimentation and discovery. It’s magical to him. For one of his birthdays we created an elephant toothpaste experiment together, and now he loves building engineering kits and tackling STEM challenges. Science gives him the freedom to test ideas, solve problems, and understand how things work.
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
My son learns best through hands-on exploration and real-world problem solving. Opportunities like robotics workshops, STEM camps, engineering programs, and innovative schools focused on building and discovery would help him grow in the ways he thrives. This award would open doors currently beyond our reach and help him turn his curiosity and kindness into skills that can make a positive difference in the world.
