Learn MoreWhy They Love Being a Student
I am a student at heart and aim to be a lifelong learner. I have always had a natural curiosity, especially in engineering. Now, I’m going into aerospace engineering, and after getting my master's degree, I plan to go into the space industry to keep satisfying my curiosity. I’ve loved the idea of space exploration and colonization since middle school, and I want to help bring that idea into reality. To do so, I need to encapsulate what it means to be a student by learning and being open-minded.
Favorite Subject & Why
My favorite subject is physics. I love STEM subjects, but personally, physics is the best because it is the most tangible. Unlike other subjects, physics balances between concept and application, and can be applied directly to engineering. The fact that I can derive an equation to predict the motion of almost anything is amazing and is the reason I want to be an aerospace engineer. I am always looking for more to learn, and making physics my career allows me to have the greatest impact with it.
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
A portion of the $20,000 would be invested and kept for future educational journeys. However, I am going into college next year, so there will be many expenses. I plan to commit to Auburn University, which is at the top of my college list because it has a strong aerospace engineering program and numerous social/career opportunities. However, even with scholarships, the cost of attendance is expensive, and that $20,000 would be used for tuition, a car, housing, textbooks, and other essentials.
