Learn MoreWhy They Love Being a Student
She loves caring for the class pets and sharing animal facts with her friends. She loves conducting her own research to satisfy her curiosities. She loves when learning intersects with arts and crafts, mostly in bigger school projects. As an only child, being a student gives her friendships that encourage and support her. She also enjoys being a teacher to the younger students and sharing her knowledge with them.
Favorite Subject & Why
Art because it allows her to freely express herself. She also enjoys that science experiments can be crafts- like slime, baking, and even cleaning!
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
She attends a Montessori Elementary school. We love this smaller footprint of a school because it provides a small teacher to student ratio. There, she can learn at her pace and in a manner that she understands because of the variety of learning tools available to her. As a single mother, this award would allow me to continue her attendance at this and future schools that nurture her creativity while learning.
