Theo loves being a student because being a student means he never stops asking questions and searching for the answers. Theo is constantly searching for the whys and the how's of the world. He loves to talk to the people who have studied his passions and learn from them. Whether it's sending messages to his teachers with questions or taking bugs to the local Natural History Museum to ask "real" entomologists his questions, Theo never stops looking for answers to his questions.
Favorite Subject & Why
Hands down, science. Science gives him the opportunity to explore with all of his senses and emerse himself in learning in a way that most other subjects can't.
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
The plan would be to use the money to fund interest-specific camps and programs. Our goal is that as his interests change and develope, he will be supported and encouraged to explore those interests to find what really speaks to him. While currently it's bugs, there may come a day that he is interested in geology or paleontology or even a non-science interest and I'd like to be able to let him explore it so that when it comes time to choose a career, he knows what will make his heart happy.
